Qualifications and training

We have a committed and highly skilled workforce, with training a fundamental part of Coastline Services' ethos.

All of our employees hold the relative qualifications for their trade and are also supplied with a whole host of other valuable training experiences, from customer services to equality and diversity. All our staff hold CSCS cards and have undergone a DBS check.

Our work across different sectors and industries mean that we provde a stimulating workplace environment which fosters motivation, empowers individuals, lowers turnover and absenteeism rates and promotes an arena for personal and professional growth.

We understand the importance of ensuring our workforce is fully up-to-date with the latest industry training.

In addition to ensuring operatives are fully qualified with the latest industry thinking in their particular trade, they also attend a number of compulsory general training courses on a rolling basis. This standard training includes customer services, equality and diversity, manual handling, working at height and asbestos awareness.

We have an annual training plan, coordinated through our Human Resources department, to ensure that every training opportunity is utilised.

Our managers have either completed, or are in the process of completing a comprehensive management development programme.

Training the 'stars of the future' is something that we take very seriously with a number of apprenticeships underway, some ot them going through a bespoke training course Cornwall College developed especially for Coastline Services trainees. We are seeing some great results.
